The studio

A Broken Hill studio for photography, family memory and hand finished keepsakes

Hayley Baker Studio is the public studio name for BAKER, HAYLEY ANN, working with families through photography and hands and feet sculptures.

The work is designed for parents who want something honest, warm and carefully made.

Approach

Gentle direction, patient sessions and attention to the smallest details.

Photography sessions are shaped around comfort. Babies are given time, children are allowed to be themselves and families are guided without feeling overly posed.

The sculpture work carries the same care. Each cast is made to preserve scale, shape and texture, then finished as a personal piece for the home.

Principles

Three ideas guide the work

The studio keeps the experience simple, personal and focused on what families will still care about years from now.

01

Keep it calm

Appointments are paced for babies, children and families rather than the clock.

02

Notice detail

Tiny fingers, curled toes, soft expressions and family touch are the details that matter.

03

Finish carefully

Images and sculpture pieces are treated as keepsakes, not quick products.

Material method

Memory can be photographed, cast and held

The studio brings together visual storytelling and tactile sculpture so families can keep more than one kind of record.

Photograph, cast, preserve

Each session is planned around the final memory: natural images, close details and optional sculpture pieces that sit together as a family record.
